Assistant Professor René Vidal has been selected to receive a Sloan Research Fellowship for 2009. Dr. Vidal is among 118 early career scientists selected for fellowships this year. These fellowships, awarded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, are given annually to “exceptional young researchers early in their academic careers, and often at pivotal stages in their work,” and provide resources for faculty to pursue new areas of interest.
