I am a research associate in the Psychiatry department of Washington
University School of Medicine, where with Professor John G. Csernansky we
are investigating structural and functional differences between healthy
brains and brains of patients inflicted with illnesses such as
schizophrenia and Alzheimer's. My research interests include computational
anatomy, image processing and computer vision.
From 1996 to 1998 I joined the Center for Imaging Science at
the Washington University, where with Professor Michael I. Miller we
conducted research in the area of computational anatomy, developing
mathematical models and algorithms for brain mapping.
I earned a B.S in electrical engineering in 1990 from University
of Maryland at College Park, a S.M. and Ph.D. in engineering science in
1992 and 1996, respectively from from Harvard University where my work
concentrated on control systems and computer vision.
